Active Directory TLS problems

$

Hi All,
I’m using this plugin with the TLS option enabled.
If i make a test from the plugin page, the authentication works fine.
But using the “wp-admin” page, often the authentication doesn’t work; the page loads for long time (about 10 min.), then it show me the logon error.
What Can I do to fix this problem?

Thanks

Get username of manager

I am trying to obtain the username of a users manager dynamically.

The usermeta is populated properly, however it looks like the “manager” field is a user object perhaps?

Can you help me find a way to obtain the user account for the manager. I am using Gravity Flow and need to be able to escalate a workflow step to a users manager.

Thanks!

Single Sign On – Active Directory patch (SSO) version 1.1.8

For those who wants to have SSO (Single Sign On) enabled for version 1.1.8, see below

http://pastebin.com/HEY4zJ0Y
Download: https://github.com/ole1986/active-directory-integration/archive/master.zip

Once you have applied the patch, you will see a new option called “Enable SSO” in Settings -> Active Directory Integration -> Authorization – tab

Of course, as already mentioned by the developers, it is not quite secure but works so far… even for PHP-CGI

Need to block registration confirmation email to AD users but not other users

I am using your wonderful Active Directory Integration plugin to allow a specific group of users to login using their corporate ID and password but they are sent a user activation email with their username and a password that is generated by WordPress when they login for the first time. Is there a way to prevent or block the email from being sent to the AD user’s?

I will have two types of user’s on my site;

1)I want to block these users from getting a registration confirmation/activation emailThe AD users who login with their corporate ID and password. They will all be from the same email domain but having multiple suffixes eg; @germany.company.com, @africa.company.com.

2)users who will need to register, and then be approved by the admin and then will be sent an activation email, and they will be from many different email domains.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Receiving A Warning Message When Sync To WordPress

We are trying to sync our Active Directory users to WordPress. In the configuration under Sync To WordPress, we put the Import Member of Security Groups to domain user; id:513, then put in the service account username and password and then save.. Then we try to sync to wordpress, but keep receiving Synchronization Failed and then the warning message below.

[INFO ] Start of Sync to WordPress
[INFO ] LDAP connection is *not* encrypted
[WARN ] User wordpressadservice@vai.local with SID S-number (domain SID: S-number) is not member of domain with domain SID “S-0′

Now we are new to Active Directory, and new to setting things up in with Active Directory. So far we like what we see in your plugin but trying to figure out how this connecting Active Directory up to wordpress works. We have test authentication on a user and is working. Is there a documentation for this plugin? How can we fix this issue? Need some guidance please.

Passing Credential to Windows Server

Authentication is working against the AD when running WordPress on Ubunt. After logging in, is there something that needs to be set to connect to a Windows web server to load a page with that credential.

Page URL Link Hide based on AD Group

Is this possible to hide some URL links from a page based on active directory group within a WordPress page? I am using DIVI builder to create some links based on department groups and would only like to display the links if user belongs to that specific group.

Example:

If (IsRole(“domain\group1”)==true)
Payroll
elseIf (IsRole(“domain\group2”)==true)
Engineering Drawings
End If

Compatibility with Next Active Directory Plugin – Local Auth only

I am running Login With Ajax with another plugin called Next Active Directory Integration Plugin. The default wordpress wp-login.php page authenticates fine with NADI but when using the Login with Ajax plugin, only the local wp_users table seems to be checked.
I’ve modified widget_out.php to make the form more similar to the default login form and it submits and authenticates with LDAP fine. I wondered if anyone can tell me how the login mechanism of Login With Ajax differs from the native default wp_signon() function?
I hope to find a small modification I can make to LWA to make the authentication more consistent with wp_signon() to allow both plugins to work as they were intended.

Problem authentication with many domains

I’ve got 1 primary domain with 5 child domains.

In Environment tab, I configured 2 domain controllers from my primary domain.
I put the Base DN to my primary domain root.

In User tab, I added all my account suffix for every domains, last one is the root domain.

Active Directory :
In every Child domain, I configured Global groups where I put all my users from each domain.
I configured Domain local groups in my primary domain where I put every global groups created before for every domains.

When I test the authentication, I can only authenticate correctly with a user from my primary domain.
It does not work with any users from a child domain.

Logs from a working authentication :

[DEBUG] Trying to authenticate user with username ‘xxx’ and account suffix ‘@company.com’
[DEBUG] Authentication successful for username ‘xxx’ and account suffix ‘@company.com’.
[WARN] Can not block or unblock the user because the user login is only simulated.
[WARN] Do not send a notification email and/or do not block the user because the user login is only simulated.
[DEBUG] UserInfo for user ‘xxx’: ………….. many debug Info OK

Logs from a non working authentication :

[DEBUG] Trying to authenticate user with username ‘xxx’ and account suffix ‘@test.company.com’
[DEBUG] Authentication successful for username ‘xxx’ and account suffix ‘@test.company.com’.
[WARN] Can not block or unblock the user because the user login is only simulated.
[WARN] Do not send a notification email and/or do not block the user because the user login is only simulated.
[WARN] Attributes for ‘xxx’: could not be loaded. Does the sAMAccountName or userPrincipalName exist? Is the provided base DN valid?
[ERROR] User ‘xxx’ with GUID: ” is not in an authorization group.

The plugin is not able to see memberships from my user in a child domain.

Someone is able to help me with this ?

I am interested in the plugin but i just have a few queries before I go through with this install.

One, does this have like and IT ticketing feature? Not an event ticketing or anything like that. More like a thread of sorts.

Two, does this work as an extranet as well?

Three, does it require a specific server setup or wordpress theme?

Compatibility with Active Directory?

Hello support,

I would like to know if your plugin is compatible with Active Directory groups?
Let me give you more details :

1/ I’m developping an intranet for a client, and users profil come from Active Directory with another plugin called ‘Active Directory Integration’.

2/ I’m restricting the visibility of some content (like articles) by groups in using your plugin.

My question is quite simple : can I make match groups i’ve created with your plugin and groups which are already in Active Directory ? And how to do that?

Thanks in advance for your answer,
Regards,
Olivier.

Great Single Sign On

This plugin works great with Active Directory for ADFS single sign on. It was easy to setup at the AD server and WordPress website. Using to control access to private internal content control for employees only. All employees use their corporate internal AD login to access the website content the same as all other corporate login needs.

Don’t need to sync databases or make any direct connection to corporate internal servers during login process, just user validation through corporate AD servers. No security risk.

Great plugin.
